Is there a way to convert this amp so I can use other tubes.
i.e. G17B or G17BT.
Please supply all necessary info

There are a number of web sites on the Internet that you can learn about conversion of "sweep tube" ampliifers to the Russian EL-509/6KG6 sweep tube or the GI7b series triode.

I recently came acroos some 4cx250b tubes.
Can anyone tell me if there's a mod for the LA-1000 to use these tubes and what would be the advantages/disadvantages?
