help??!!!!clegg fm-28 how do i fix this dang thing

i have bought this thing i call a radio at the last ham fesat and can find no info online or anywhere else. If anyone can tell me how to fix the squelch i will greatly appriciate it. if i cant find anything soon i am afraid it might find its way to the bottom of the river.........help please?

Clegg has been gone, for a long time.  They were in Pennsylvania if I remember right.

Anyway, the FM28 is a pretty straightforward radio as I recall.  It probably has a simple noise-gate type squelch.  If you are handy, all you need is the schematic.  You can probably get it from one of those guys that sell old radio manuals.  One or two of them advertise in QST.

Can't say how recently the page was updated but it's worth a try.

i found your reply to tobey about the manual for the clegg fm-28. i have one of these also and it just quit transmitting. if possible i would like to get a copy of the scan of the manual. if not i understand but it would be a great help to me to be able to get this thing going. thank you
