I bought a te-64 communications specialists ctcss encoder at a ham fest with no manual and I have a ft-480r all mode 2m that I want to use it with.Does anyone know where I can get the hook up info?

Do you have a schematic of the radio?  If so, how comfortable are you with reading it?  A parts layout for the radio would be VERY helpful too in answering your hook-up question.  Also, will you need to select one, or more than one, PL tone to encode?

I'm not familiar with the encoder you purchased, but an e-mail or phone call to the manufacturer specifing the radio you want to connect it to would give you the information you desire.  The manufacturer would know better where to connect the signal injection wire to give the best results.  A little white lie here won't hurt--just tell them you are switching the module from one radio to another and have lost the instructions.

 No I don't have a schematic for the encoder and I don't know where the four unlabeled screw terminals go to.
