Is there some way to see who has had my callsign befere I received it. I'm just curious of it's history.

For $5 you can have W5YI conduct a callsign history search for you. They have a massive collection of old callbooks.

Call them @ 1-800-669-9594.

Thanks everyone (especially N8YB).

I tried the AE7Q site but could not find a place to get a history. VanityHQ has the facilities but the history is member contributed and there was nothing there for my call sign.

I may decide to spend the money and have W5YI do a look up. Not sure yet.

I did an SSDI look up using the name provided by N8YB and a person by that name died in March of 1994. Don't know if it was the same guy but it is possible that he went SK and the call sign has set idle until now.
