Whooops. This is what I get for posting late - very
late.
I missed one digit - you said 'FT-857'... and
I 'assumed' (and we all know what that makes us)
FT-897.
For the FT-857D, the DSP is OPTIONAL (according to
the info on
http://www.yaesu.com/).
60m is INCLUDED.
The TXCO-9 (temperature compensated crystal oscillator) is an option too.
Sorry - I'll have to read more closely when posting
at 2:00 AM.
Good radio, though, and about as small and portable
as they get.
