I have ended up with a remarkable 6 meter AM rig that looks like it came off the boat from the Creature from the Black lagon movie.

This thing is all chrome, all kinds of tubes, and has a discret reciever from x-mitter.

It is called a Utica 650. It has three slots for X-tals in the front and seems to have no problem transmitting down as far as 48 mhz or as high as 58 mhz.

Anyone have a manual for this thing? Where were they made? What year?

I'm trying to restore it and am seeking a manual.

Thanks
Rod

The Utica 650 was made in Chicago around 1964, and was an offshoot of a company called Continental Marine Corporation.  The price brand new, including external VFO, was $189.95.  As for a manual, you might want to check W7FG vintage manuals.  This radio was my introduction to ham radio, as my dad had one, and it really set off fireworks when my mom wanted to watch something on TV.
