I have done the modification to the Tempo One to use
6146B's in place of the 6JS6's.  I followed the article
in the Feb. 2000 QST by ZS1J.  The mod. requires changing
the power supply tap from 460 V to the 600 V tap.  I do
not seem to have a 600 V tap on the transformer, however
there is a a 600 V position on the rectifier board that
is already wired up.  I have two rigs and both power
supplies are the same.

I have not yet received the tubes (6146B's) but will
check the plate voltage when they arrive. Can anyone
tell me if it would be worthwhile to attempt to change
the tube BM to the solid state version if i can find one?

Thanks for reading.
