4 pin microphone replacement

Is it possible to find new 4 pin mics or an adapter that will allow me to use a newr mic with a 4 pin radio?

My recommendation would be to build a short adapter cable from the 8-pin microphone you desire to use and the 4-pin connector on your radio.  These connectors are readily available at your local amatuer radio dealer or through Tower Electronics (Green Bay, WI)

You must also make user that the microphone and radio impedances (Low-Z or High-Z) match

I just wired a Shure 524C mike (4 wires ) to my Icom 706 using a homemade adapter for the Icom 8 pin input. Got the parts I needed at Radio Shack.
