I found this  on the web site for a fellow who makes the scorpion antennas.

I have met Don several times in the past and he is a very interesting person to visit with, and sharp as a tack, and his wife is a real sweetie pie.  check this nice tribute out..

Your correct about Don Johnson being a great guy. Back in 1994 I was lucky enough to make a video of Don building his screwdriver antennas from start to finish along with other of his projects.

A great tribute to Don and thanks for reminding us all of him.  Bill

Tom,

Years ago, I had thought of building "back-to-back" screwdriver antennas as a frequency agile, rotatable dipole.  I contacted Don and we chatted on the phone for an hour.  This man is a true testament to the spirit and friendship of amateur radio.  Don sent me some pencil sketches of how he would build my idea.  I have them safely stored to this day.  What a fine and unselfish  man.

Thanks for the link.
