Reroping a US Tower Monopole

Hi again!

Ok I have identified the antenna and already know what the tower is but it needs to be reroped, I just bought a used MA-770MDP 71' tubular tower from US Tower with power raise and lower but due to the location the lifting rope (wire rope) is very rusty and will need to be replaced I am familiar with this sort of thing but just thought I would see if anyone has had the pleasure to do one?

Hello Hari,

The safest and most conservative route to get the proper parts is through US Tower.

The best advice I can give you (and anyone wanting to build a tower) is to seek out the internet's Holy Grail of tower information: the TowerTalk email list on contesting dot com.

I'd bet your tower has already been discussed. The archives are on line with a search engine, and are an absolute *gold mine* of information for those who spend a little time digging.
