Lon,

I was supporting the "feelings" of our sensitive bed-wetting liberal friends (:-)

I am in total agreement with everything you posted.

Thank you, Lindy. I thought so, but wasn't sure.

OK, so I lied. Just call me The Messiah. Smiley

quote, "the "feelings" of our sensitive bed-wetting liberal friends "

That is unfair.

I have plenty of liberal friends who do not wet their beds.

It's a free country and they choose to wet their pants, not beds, whenever they feel the urge (such as when confronted with reason and accountability.)

Now that you have the website, take some time to update the grammar and puncuation.  I have my own problems writing properly, so I have my sister, who is a English major proofread most of my writing.  BTW, I would not have told the radio world that I cannot take my truck with 212,000 miles on it to a hamfest...

there is a tremendous difference. There is NO Shame in showing grace, and showing grace strenuously does Not make you a bed wetting liberal..witholding grace however speaks for itself and anyone that ignores the opportunity to extend it. Defines oneself.

Jackie:  Good you're staying on the air, take the crap that gets thrown at you here with a grain of salt, some people check their humanity AND humility at the door when they log onto the Internet --I do it myself on my blog...but at least I have "snarking" in the title so you know what you're getting.

Ham radio is full of all kinds of people of EVERY stripe, right wing, left wing, hippie, yuppy, and at least one Anarchist I know of :-) It's also got it's share of curmudgeons who still aren't over the code requirement being dropped, and need something to bitch about.

Regarding your grammar, it is NO MEASURE of intelligence, however it can and does make one *look* less intelligent....and grammar can be improved with effort and some basic tools.

Type up everything in Word and let it spell check for you.

Read what you've written outloud to see if it sounds normal.

For important stuff have a 2nd person eyeball it.

Lastly and most importantly if you honestly don't care what people think SCREW EM! Go on about yer life write however ya want!

Slàinte mhor a h-uiele là a chis nach fhaic!!!!

Jackie,

You put too much effort into to getting where you are today to give it up. Hang in there.

An ounce of organized thought and a basic understanding of english goes alot further than all the compassion in the world.
