I have two used Ft7800 E model yaesu dual banders.
They have been modified for Wide band TX for some very strange reason. All of the standard programming has gone! and the Power out setting are all out of wack ! One is deaf !http://www.kb2ljj.com/ This site offers this mod and I am looking for a way back to std, has anyone been down this route? 73's G6IYS

First thing I would do is a main CPU reset. Then program the radio and try it.

If that does not work, Yell real loud at whoever did the "mod" in that they must have snipped the wrong items!!!!!

To me, any mod information that doesn't come from the manufacturer is suspect.

Whilst we are on the subject of resetting the CPU in a 7800, how do we do it?
There is no mention of it at all in my radios manual. (I have a 7800R)
