I have an ft-100d I recently acquired, and I would like to work PSK-31 on 40M, but it is normally on USB, not the conventional LSB on 40.  Is there anyway with the FT-100d to set 40M to USB?

Yes, read the manual to tell you how to reverse the sideband!! The Menus allow you to change this.

Now, 40 meters is ususally set for LSB, why is yours on USB?? Some one must have changed it!!

I have read the manual, and I don't see it in any menu, that is why I am asking here.  My radio is set for LSB on 40M, but usually when working PSK-31 on 40 you would use USB, but I don't know how to change it, any help would be appreciated.

Check pp. 33 of the users manual for changing SSB; pp. 43 for reversing CW.

The specific steps you are looking for are on page 61 of the operators manual under the heading of "digital mode operation".

It spells out exactly how to select either USB or LSB.
