hi to all
reading about the 60 meters band changes i took a tour
last night around it and hear many stations from USA and the Caribbean
on voice and cw. my ts-570d dint transmit in that band.i been
reading about the mars/cap modification and about the r41 resistor
to modify the radio to transmit in the 60 meters band. my question is:
could i just cut one leg of the resistor? or it have to be eliminated completely
from the board?
thanks

It's surface mount.

Yah, it is surface mounted and about as thick as a fingernail. I just touched it with a hot iron for about 2 seconds and the whole thing came off. That's the only way to do it. Good luck and 73 Jim W5JJG
