Last night tuning up Ten Tec Omni VI into dummy load, rig suddenly shut down and will not power up.Hav checked
power in leads and fuse on back of radio. All are good power to back of radio. Question is......before cracking case, what or where should I look for the problem. No smoke escaped. Has anyone had this issue before on Omni VI? Any and all help appreciated.

If you're running the TenTec 961 power supply, turn the supply off and then back on.  It's made to shut down if the rig pulls too much current.

Power supply is 75amp Astron. Astron is still at 13.8+ volt. Same supply still worked on Icom 756Pro III after Ten Tec failed.

The tech support at Ten Tec is supposed to be the best in the world, at least that's what I read on Eham. Why not give them a call?

Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern, Monday through Friday.
Telephone: (865) 428-0364
Email: service@tentec.com
