If anyone will know, its Adam Farson VA7OJ / AB4OJ.

Watch his ICOM Pages at
http://www.ab4oj.com/icom/main.html

He?s got an IC-9100 Page at:
http://www.ab4oj.com/icom/ic9100/main.html

When the FCC certification is done, Adam will note it on the IC-9100 page. Can't sell it if no FCC OK!

The ICOM 9100 has been RELEASED in JAPAN(8-22-10).Still awaiting FCC OK for U.S.A. release.$3650 appears the STARTING price in US dollars compared to the YEN.

In addition to the rocket scientist design engineers who design their PAs, I see that Icom has abandoned the $1,500 market in favor of several rigs in the $3,000-4,000 class. That is ingenious in the economy. I guess they have a really good feel for the people out there.

It may be that they figure to make more profit from one $4k rig than from three $1.5 k rigs Wink

I never looked at it that way. But 4 rigs in that price range ? Isn't that a bit redundant?

Just to wake this thread up Smiley

The IC-9100 received FCC approval yesterday (Feb 10th, 2011)..    Now that both the IC-7410 and IC-9100 are FCC approved, I'm guessing we should see these radios appearing on dealer's shelves sometime next month.
