Does anyone know where I could take a test for my license for HAM?

Check both the ARRL and W5YI websites.  Also try to find hams and clubs in your area and contact them.  They will often know of tests not listed on the two sites I mentioned.  Somewhere on the web is a place where you can type in your zip code and it will show the hams in your area (maybe the QRZ site?).

Go here;
http://www.arrl.org/arrlvec/examsearch.phtml
and plug in your local info and see what is near to you.

If ARRL doesn't have a VE team/site nearby or at a convenient time/day try:

http://www.w5yi.org/exam_locations_ama.php

instead. ARRL and W5YI are two of the biggest testing providers for amateur (ham) licences.
