I checked with
www.arrl.org and only two clubs
are listed for your area, between 20-50 miles
from your zipcode.
so, local help is your best bet.
Your local hs, tech school or college may
have a radio club.
Check out the garage sales in town or pawn shops, sometimes you can find a used shortwave radio.
This would be the easiest and fasted way to listen in.
Or, if you are into building and have a basic
knowledge of electronics you can put together
a kit or from the recent QST (arrl magazine)
issues homebrew receivers.
