I'm getting ready to move my 2 meter repeater to a city water tower. The city is wanting a liability waiver stating they are not liable if lightning hits my system or if someone steals it, etc. etc. I had planned on contacting a lawyer about this. I don't know what a lawyer would charge for this but I've been told it's probably more than I want to pay. I don't want to deplete my repeater upgrade budget on attorney fees, especially if it's something simple I can type up myself. If anyone has an example they could send me I would really appreciate it. There will be no climbing involved. Antenna & feedline are already in place from a previous VHF system. If anyone has any suggestions or tips from previous experience I would love to hear them.
Thanks & 73!

Interesting.

You could ask them to provide the standard city waiver
for you to run past your lawyer.  Perhaps one already
exists from other radio sites within the city.

On the other hand, maybe you should  request a waiver from the city so you will not be responsible for any damage or theft to the city property.

A little time and money spent today can help to avoid a large problem in the future.  Maybe you can get help from a local club that can connect you with a lawyer or if you are an ARRL member that is a place to start.
