I bought a key through eBAY. It is marked JJ-38 but has no other identification. I was feeling a mite guilty for spending a few dollars more than the price of a new Ameco key, but when I showed it to other (older) hams at lunch last Saturday, they congratulated me for picking a really nice one. I can see that it is. Does anyone know what that model is, other than probably WWII surplus?

I asked our local (Metro Amateur Club) key collector and guru, DAVID NEWMAN, NE9H, about this when I took the Extra exam last week and he said it is a Japanese J-38.
