I have a Heil Proset headset.  I finally have the correct adapter so it fits into my radio.  However, I have a new problem.  I can bring up a local repeater with no problem however, I my audio won't transmit.  I use a little pushbutton on the end of a cord to activate the transmitter.  I don't have the instruction manual to tell me how to correctly wire everything up.  So I may have wired something incorrectly or I might have a control set wrong.  Is there somebody out there that can help me?  I have tried every combination of wiring that I can think of and I'm stumped.  Thanks in advance for replies.

Sincerely,

Oh, I almost forgot.  On SSB, the ALC meter doesn't activate.

Update: Well, it looks like I was putting the attenuator in the wrong place.  the headset works beautifully now.  Sorry to have bothered you folks.
