Virginia Amateur License Plates, Redesign?

I'm wondering if anyone else from VA dislikes the VA Amateur Radio plates as much as I do.

If enough people are interested I am willing to do the design work (with the general populations inputs and approvals) and submit it to the DMV.

I'm not sure if the 350 pre-ordered plates rule applies since this is an existing plate. I have several calls into the DMV, I'm waiting for someone to call me back and let me know.

This is not much different than the SC Amateur Plate.

We get ours for $2 more than a regular plate so, I am not going to stir up the waters here.

I just dont see the need for a designed amateur radio plate.  They work just fine for what we need them for, identifying our callsigns.  It doesnt look any plainer than the original Va plates did, before the 400th aniversary plates came out.
