I am selling this radio set to help a friend whos husband has passed on. I don't know how much this radio would be worth and I would like to know if anyone would give me an idea of how much to ask for it.
It is in Mint condition and it was used very little as he had cancer and couldn't be on the radio a lot.

Please help

<< It is in Mint condition and it was used very little >>

You might want to be careful in describing the rig. If it has been used at all, it can't be in mint condition. That means new in the box - unused.

Used very little and in excellent condition might be a better description.

That web site has very old information. Just for grins, I check the Yaesu area. The last update was 2002. Went to Icom. It was 2000. Those prices are so far out of whack to be of any use at all. Your best bet would be to track on ebay and see what they have sold far. Also some of the big sellers (aes, r and l, etc) have used equip for sale. Get an idea there.

People are always very hesitant to give any actual values for fear of offending someone or perhaps are looking for a great deal. A quick check of two dealers on line reflects each had a ft100 used for sale. One was asking $595 and the other $599. That is from a dealer with probably a warranty of somekind. As always you mileage may vary but that gives you an idea of a starting point.

hi dave,

checking the online classified here on eham,
the fc20 about $ 200 and the ft-100d $ 600

You could list the items in the classified section.

Thank you all for replying to this message. You all have been so much help and the information was really helpful. I'm going to offer this radio in the hamnet first because we want someone who will use it and enjoy it too. That is what he would of wanted and we do too.
