Hello,

Does anyone know about N5ZDA. I recently purchased a Mizuho SX-3 Preselector from him and he asked US$100.00 for it inclusive of postage. I sent him a US$ bankdraft and this was placed by him into his bank account and cleared. I have the documents to prove it!

The sad story is, I have not received the Mizuho SX-3 Preselector and despite my repeated emails to him at his email n5zda@hotmail.com asking about the whereabouts of the equipment, he has failed to reply to me Huh!!!???

Put two and two together!!!!

Anyone know this guy and have such a similar experience!

You could call him or send him a certified letter, return receipt requested or FedEx him, etc.

You might also contact the eHam classifieds manager, Mark Stennett, NA6M, at: classifiedsmaster@na6m.com
Perhaps he can be of further assistance or has further information

It is possible I suppose that Mr Farley had some emergency, or it is possible that he shipped the Preselector and it is just tied up in transit or HK Customs, one hopes there is a simple explanation. If worst comes to worst you could contact the New Orleans Police, 421 Loyola Ave, New Orleans, LA 70112  Phone: 504-821-2222
Good luck.

It is unlikely that this Mr. Farley, N5ZDA or whatever he likes to go by will show up with the goods having sent him numerous emails with no replies??!!??

Oh, be sure that I will be sending full details to the law authorities to follow up on this issue, but in the meantime I think the International ham community needs to know about this person.

From doing a search, I note that this is not the first time that another ham has had to raise up a strong complaint about N5ZDA and had bad experience with him.

My advice to all, beware and do not deal with him!!!!

It is highly unlikely that the goods would have been held up in US Customs as I buy stuff from the States all the time, particularly ham stuff and have no problems whatsoever.

He is earning a bad rep. for himself and the ham community. If the goods do not show, I will give him his money's worth of trouble and a brush with his local law! The FCC will also be notified of his practices. He will surely get allot of free publicity!!

User 254 listed his name as Tyler C. A Tyler Chutz was recently caught trying to pass himself off as N5WSC (n5wsc@yahoo.com) saying he had permission from the licensee to act on his behalf. An email from n5wsc came to me today asking about his access.

Another ham earlier became suspicous when his lookup on N5WSC did not match what he was given as the address to send his money order to. That address was given as:

Tyler Chutz
6807 Canal Blvd
New Orleans, LA 70124

Funny that you should mention him.  Because I'm on my way to the police station as soon as I finish sending this.  I sent a MO for $125 for a radio July 5 and after he told me he got the MO the e-mails were not retturned.  I traced the MO and have a copy now.  I tried calling the number and spoke to a female Chutz, who claimed not to know him, but didn't seem at all upset when I said that I had a MO with her address and was filing a complaint.  I think Tyler is a her.  And with that I'm off to the Police station.  Please anyone else who got taken, report it.  The more complaints the better chance of getting something done.

I had dealings with Tyler Chutz using the call N5WSC. His address is 6807 Canal Blvd - New Orleans La 70124. I purchased an MC-60 Kenwood mic from him. I received it ok, but what was suppose to be a "mint" mic was missing pieces, was scratched up and didn't work. When I emailed him about its condition, he said it was mint to him.

There are two threads on QTH.com about N5ZDA as well:

http://chat.qth.com/viewtopic.php?t=952
http://chat.qth.com/viewtopic.php?t=885

I've recently blocked him from using the QTH.com Classified ads at http://swap.qth.com
