I am trying to find out what the first mobile radios were where you were able to push in the ctcss code on the microphone keypad or when it was automatic. My Kenwood 4800 only lets me have one tone at a time. I have to turn the radio over and set switches, but I have to do that for every single tone. There has to be a better way. I cannot afford a new radio. Or maybe there is some type of outboard ctcss switch box.

ComSpec has made a box with a rotary
switch for years.
