SO you want to build your own antenna?  Here is one that will work on all bands.  This is the ultimate all

   I did .....I will gladly sell it to you,

       Materials   15.00
       Aggravation during construction, installation, and testing, incalculable,
          My 80m loop won out again.  In all fairness I am not the worlds finest craftsman so others may find it very useful.  Durability is a big issue as well , lots of weight and lots of connections......

Tried one a while back, a lot of work for a antenna that didn't compare to my 80 meter loop
