If anybody knows Clifford Blackstone, W7LDO please let him know that someone is using his callsign to scam people with the "my shipping agent will send cashier's check" scam. Mr. Blackstone has no email address listed on QRZ so if anybody knows him please let him know. I was contacted through the QTH classifieds and reported it to Scott Neader, KA9FOX and he has blocked the sender's IP address from ever accessing the QTH website.
For everyone else's information the person's name (probably fake), email and IP address is listed below:

ALEX
robalex_007@hotmail.com
IP address 80.179.249.98

Original message I received:

Name: ALEX
Callsign: W7LDO
E-mail: robalex_007@hotmail.com

The response is:

will handle the shippment ,And also indicate if you would accept a cashier's check and if this offer is ok, send me the listed info below so as to make the cashier's cheque or money order mailed to you ,

ADDRESS===== WHERE CHECK WILL BE MAILED TO ----------------
CONTACT TEL PHONE NUMBERS SUCH AS YOUR CELL PHONE NUMBER ,OFFICE
NUMBER . HOME PHONE NUMBER .
SO AS TO MAKE PAYMENT .

You could contact him directly via US Mail, FexEx, etc.:

BLACKSTONE JR, CLIFFORD M
3228 TURNER RD SE
SALEM, OR 97302

...from the FCC ULS license database (as opposed to QRZ).
 http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsSearch/searchAdvanced.jsp
or
http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsSearch/searchLicense.jsp

or you could call him at home: 503-585-7472

...from a whitepages lookup for "Blackstone, C, in Salem OR" on http://www.infospace.com/  (or others).

There's a lot of info available on the web that 10-15 years ago would have required a trip to the local library to look up.

Blocking a single IP address won't do much good unless he/she/it/they are using a static IP address such as most DSL or Cable connections.  If the person(s) involved are using dial-up, THE ISP usually assigns a dynamic IP Address and that changes at random every time they connect, within the available addresses assigned to that ISP.
What I hope the fellow at QTH is able to do (and has done) is block that particular user's access to the site.
