I'm awaiting my Steppir BigIR...and while waiting..am getting things together (radials, etc...)..I read a review about the Steppir Small IR..& the reviewer put chokes on the cables (choke balun on coax, and toroid choke on control cable)..Could someone advise which / what ones to use, and where to get them?..Thanks in advance!...

ask in elmers...

To tide you over read this:
http://www.yccc.org/Articles/W1HIS/CommonModeChokesW1HIS2006Apr06.pdf

Should have lots of info on appropriate materials and sources, and is sort of a must-read anyway.

Amidon sells anything you would need.  For most chokes FT240-43 toroids will work fine.  Experimentation at this point would be good if you are new.  Try other materials like -63 or -K too.
