Managed to find an SG-2020 for sale today.  I'm not going to say what I paid for it, since it was surely too much, but they are hard to come by.

This completely changes my plans for my mobile radio case, that's for sure.

Been looking casually for one for a while, glad to finally have laid hands on one.

I'm thinking of sending it to SGC for a servicing but I think I'll see how it works first.

Should be a good match to my BuddiPole.

Congratulations on acquiring your SG. The yahoo SG users net has lots of info, if you haven't discovered it yet. Don't send it in to SGC until it develops problems. Repairs are expensive. Keep it under the 20 watt level.  Have fun.

Great talkin' radio, the CW side of it wasn't my cuppa tea at all, though.

Still, I miss it sometimes.

Enjoy!

Made contacts on 80 and 40 but the frequency is not right and the power on 10 is below specs.  Since it's not the ADSP model, I'm thinking of sending it back right away for the upgrade [before the jack up the price again!] and get it working just right.

I can see that this is going to be a great radio though, nice and easy to use and decent volume from the internal speaker.

The Buddipole is also a great match to this radio, I heard many stations today on 40 just casually noodling around.

Sure nice to have a rig under 10 pounds with tuner.
