AE5OU? My bet would be a vanity for misplaced football fanaticism - and I ain't talkin' Ohio or Oregon here.

AE5OU licensee lives in a near suburb of Oklahoma City, maybe 25 miles or so NW of Norman, OK - where University of Oklahoma is situated. Have always wondered how that became "OU" instead of "UO". Indeed, have always wondered how college football became the Single Most Important Thing in Life.

Now, New York Yankees baseball is a whole 'nother story ...

As a FYI, you may hear NF#EMA calls.  They
ham the calls issued by NTIA to guess who???
Also, WF#EMA, KF#EMA and NF#EMA.  KF4EMA,
aka WGY-912, was accidently issued to a ham
by the FCC, but was canceled and a
replacement call issued.
