I have a friend which we hold a schedule on HF. We also like to share pictures of our projects and we would like to share using SSTV while on the air. Here is my question:

Is it considered poor operating practices to send SSTV on frequencies other than the normal one or two frequencies for general SSTV operation. IE: 14.230 and 14.233 are normal SSTV operating frequencies. If we wanted to operate at 14.215 and occasionaly send SSTV in our QSO would that be considered poor operating practice?

While it is not illegal, I would consider it poor operating practice unless you were doing it when there was no other activity on adjacent frequencies.

A smoking section in a restaurant makes as much sense as a peeing section in a swimming pool.
