I have been receiving death threats on my local 2 meter FM repeater. I am posting to hear from others who have gone through this experience, what you did in response, and any other suggestions you can make?

Hey,
Never had this kind of experience, however if I had, I would get the ARRL into the game...

I'd contact the local/regional law enforcement agency, the national regulator (e.g. the US FCC in USA), and the repeater trustee, in roughly that order.
I also would probably just happen to not use that repeater as much either, if possible. Testimony by others who heard the threats, to local law enforcement would also be helpful.

I'd record them as evidence and contact both the local police and the FCC.

Probably some punk with a stolen rig. The same sort of character who calls up his high school with a bomb threat.
My comment presumes you do not recognize the voice or call.
Contact the FBI, absolutely. The individual is committing a felony.

Thanks for the responses - yes it's FBI. I'll let you know what happens.

ARRL section leader will not response to my attempts to contact him on air or by email. I suspect he may know or be friends with these individuals.

Invalid assumption. Have you tried calling him on the phone?
This is not a ARRL problem; it's an FCC and law enforcement problem and those are the agencies you need to be talking to.

A smoking section in a restaurant makes as much sense as a peeing section in a swimming pool.

Sorry I don't respond to posters who type in what I wrote as though I am too dumb to remember what I wrote. Probably someone with the ARRL.
