Hi All
Forget my last post im dsleiks!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok here we go can anyone give me info on why the Alinco DX-801 HF Tranciever is not really suitable for ham radio?
All I know is that it is sold as a commercial radio covering full tx/rx on HF,sounds good to me!
Any info would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

I don't know much about that particular radio, but most "commercial" grade units don't have a continously tunable VFO in fine steps. Some make large steps (100Hz or more) and some only permit selection of pre-programmed memories. From the picture on rigpix, it doesn't look like the DX-801 has any frequency entry controls.

A smoking section in a restaurant makes as much sense as a peeing section in a swimming pool.
