The eham product reviews are very odd. Some products get straight 5.0/5s. One in particular is the Par End Fedz. The owner claims his antenna equals the performance of a half wave dipole yet the half wave dipole reviews are pretty mediocre. There are a lot of reviews like that where everybody sings the praises of the product but they don't say "compared to what" and if it is being compared to a compromised design. Everybody with something to sell has their relatives, friends, and neighbors writing in.

Too muck back slapping be bopping and a scatin' in the product reviews.

The antenna product users often rate based on their expectations, not absolute performance.

Do you have proof that bogus reviews are being posted? That is a serious charge and needs some backing up.

In fairness to Parfit you could check each posting to see if the call sign and name are legitimate. The next step is to contact the individuals and confirm or disconfirm that they did submit the post. Evidence.

Then post your findings and either retract your charge or restate it with the evidence you have obtained.
