Who is using Twitter.com and Ham Radio

I am looking for a Twitter.com user that is posting relevant or interesting frequencies to listen to. For example an the IRLP note for some big event.

I have Twitter (bigredmed).   I am convinced that this is some kind of scam or a system that is going to end up being a lot of sizzle and no steak.

I have pinged all the people who said they were "following me" and received NO replies (twice.)

I would be happy to respond to you if you want to try out your Twitter account.

Thanks for the reply. I recommend looking up twitter on www.youtube.com . You said you "pinged" a number of people with out response with out any results, do you mean nudged? If so that usually just anoys people. The key is either start posting something worth following or making honest comments on other people post that are helpful. You could start by using it to post interesting frequency that you are monitoring / talking on. After the election I don't think it is going anywhere. I taught a class on using it for business and one person in the class incresed his business by 33% in two months using it correctly.

In fact, I am trying to point out what is available to hams IF they ever rewrite the rules to allow easier use of OUR FREQUENCIES by US. Right now, millions are using OUR FREQUENCIES for internet access, without any license. Hams clearly are not interested in using them for a ham network so why would I put a callsign on my access points?

I admit I am using them too, under Part 15. I have a small neighborhood WISP in rural South Central Virginia...

FYI: If you add #hamradio in your Ham Radio related Tweets then it is easier to find those post ( or RSS feed them ) using htt://www.search.twitter.com .

Me too!

We run a pretty successful web commerce operation and like EVERYONE else on the planet, we recently grabbed our company name on Twitter and Facebook. (David Letterman and techies of his caliber said it was cool and useful lol).

I see NOTHING of value in twitter and I'm not the only one who has predicted a quick flameout at that monument to hype.  Look up "twitter sucks" for confirmation.
