Your little joke would be funny if it wasn't so true to life.

Oh my, you would want to use chanel 41 of course!
But you absolutely MUST use 'medium sideband', that way it will skip further.
Sorry if that doesn't work..............just couldn't resist.

thanks for the advise but their isnt no chanel 41. please explane backspin. how come the HAM on the ten meters HAM chanel some times step on me with the beep de beep code. i heard that the fcc done away with beep de beep code so why do HAM step on me and not give me the break when i have the chanel first. at least cb opraters ask for a break maybe HAM can learn some thing about cortesy from the cb!!!!! what kind radio do you use on ten meters HAM?

He doesn't exactly mean channel 41; he meant to use channel 4 and the code one..4.1 ; that's why u have to use medium sideband. He forgot to add that u should check and make sure you have an ample supply of squelch powder when using MSB, cuz it wears out faster....

I'd find out what frequency the local police department uses, and just use that one.

Another proven skip booster is to turn the mike gain as far clockwise as possible; then speak into the mike with the loudest voice possible, this will surely go the greatest distance.

The best thing to do is take an English spelling and grammar and punctuation class.
