Not sure bout the rest of ya,but I started out in CB and still run a Cobra 148 bare foot.I still like talking skip on ssb and talking local and use it for travel info. Probly is goin to talk cb rest a me life. And I have had Hams give me a hard time on 10m usb. They say I "borrowed" my call sign. So WE can be as bad as cb'ers. Just my 3 cents worth.73's

I think this CHARLIEBAKER and the CBRADIOLOVER on Youtube are in the same. I could be wrong but the post smacks of the same wording.

CharlieBaker:

If you think it's hard being a CB'er here, just try being "one of those %$&*@^& no-code Extras".

CHARLIEBAKER, I really believe you need to go back to
school and learn how to spell before you make a post
on the internet.
I do believe you need to get someone that can spell and
speak england to help you. Reading your post I understand
100% why your not a ham.

Sorry to nitpick, but I can't help but notice something (and the reason I am stating this is that I've made the same mistake myself, correcting someone else on a forum). .

With regard to your comment " learn how to spell before you make a post on the internet.", it would actually be 'speak English' not "speak england", and "your not a ham." should use "you're".
No disrespect intended N5DXL, but you do open up a door with a comment like that.

By the way, I personally think that Charlie Baker is more intelligent than many give him credit for.  The consistency of his spelling 'errors' and the fact that he essentially types in 'slang' (so to speak) makes me wonder if he (or she) is using stereotypes to highlight a few problems which DO exist in both the CB and ham radio communities.
Look bast the spelling and grammar, and one will see the negative minorities in both groups, and the needless animosity which exists between said groups.
Are there idiots using CBs? No doubt.
Are there idiots in amateur radio? Certainly, but that doesn't necessarily hold true for everyone, eh?

Just something to ponder.
