The previous discussion on philosophy and human perception has rescued me from ennui. Thanks to all who helped in that rescue effort.

I've been reading "DesCartes Error" (in fact reading it again, after having read it about 15 years ago.)
It is a fascinating work.
One thing I like most about it is, it destroys the position "don't let your emotions influence your decision."
I would elaborate, but that would be a spoiler.
It's a little on the brainiac side, but I think anyone can benefit. It is worth reading.
