Has anyone had experience mounting an FT100 and ATAS100 on a Honda Civic?

I use a 3-magnet mount. Cigarette lighter has a very low output in the Civic so I had to get cables from the battery directly. One problem is strong ignition noise that is there whether the radio is fed from the car's battery or a separate battery.

As a fellow Honda Civic (DX, of course!) owner,  I'm curious - where did you penetrate the fire wall?  I'm using the cig lighter to power my Radio Shack HTX-242, with approximately 45 watts out.  However, I want to buy an HF rig, with nominally 100 watts out, and I don't want to try to power it they same way!

Tnx
