ATAS System

Is anyone familiar with using the Yaesu ATAS System Antenna with an Icom 707 MKII, will this work, or is the Yaesu ATAS only for the Yaesu Line.  THX

The ATAS100 will only work with the Yaesu when connected directly to the radio.  However there is a company (AM-COM) I believe, that advertised having a unit that will tune the antenna while attached to the ICOM-706 series.  I haven't looked for their ad lately but they use to advertise it in QST.  I have only used the ATAS with the FT-100 so could not tell you how it will perform with the 706.

Question, do you know if the Yaesu FT100D's auto tune feature is compatible with the High Sierra HS 1500 antenna?

Hi - In re inquiry ATAS -  friend  has 706 in Volvo with AM-COM into MALDOR  trunk mount with separate rocker switch to lower  the ATAS. Saw it Sat. - works great. 73, Rich

This antenna is controlled by a DC voltage on the coax.  If I remember
right, more than 8.5 volts raises the tap and less than that lowers

I was researching this to go the opposite direction -- I want to
make my FT-100D automatically operate some other screwdriver
antenna.
