I have read here that many have used the Wilson 1000 for mobile 10 meter.
I aquired a mag mount one used (cheap!).

For those of you who use this antena for 10m, what have you found to be the overall best cut length?
I know that they are somewhat broadbanded, however the length recommended for 28.5MHz and 26.500 are about a 4" difference.  I'd like to be able to get <2:1 for the voiceband if possible (say 28.4 to 29.62MHz).

Recommendations?

I also use a Wilson 1000 for 10 meters.  I used an MFJ antenna analyzer and achieved an SWR of about 1.25:1 if I remember correctly.  I think I had to cut about 3.5 to 4 inches.

I use a Wilson 2000 Trucker on 10m with good results. Loads well on 12m too with my FT900's built-in tuner.  I cut my whip to 46 1/2" from the top of the coil to the tip of the whip.
