I have searched high and low but still can't find the back plate (horshoe shaped with three threaded holes) for my Motorola ball mount.  Can't mount the ball without it.... wonder if any one has one of these plates laying around?  Or a Motorola part number would also suffice......

How about the heavy duty Hustler or heavy duty antenna specialist ball mounts? They have a large horseshoe mount.

At least you have the mount! I've been looking for one of the cast iron ones Motorola used to ship with their low band rigs. No luck so far.

The backing plate from just about any ball mount will work, and you can find these at most hamfests, CB shops, etc. I used two of them with my Master Mobile mount. I drilled out the threads as I used anti-theft bolts to fasten it to the car body.

Do you have any more of these units???

As I recall, these mounts were made for BatWing by Antenna Specialists.   Should be able to get parts
from them cheaper than BatWing.   Try your local
two way shop, lotsa people are leavin' Lo VHF for higher
freqs.  They might have some in their junk pile.
