Hi all and tia for reading this. I have a 98 Jeep Wrangler that I have a Alinco600t mounted using the remote control head.  It works great except when I turn on the ignition switch or run the engine (not acc) I get so called carriers on several frequencies which interferes with my reception and stop the scanning feature. I've tried several radios and they all have the same interference.  So, its not the radio, I tried an ht with internal batteries and same results.  I tried running extra ground to rig, same results.  With ignition switch on I tried pulling fuses to narrow down the cause, never located source. I've redone rg58 coax - same So now I'm asking for suggestions.  Has anyone got any ideas out there 73...

Thanks Dave,  sure sounds like the cause (airbag module). Now if I can only convince Jeep to replace it.  73's Alan
