I remeber about a year ago, I saw a Icom 2100h on ebay and it said that it could recieve the air band. Does anyone know what it takes to do this mod? Or where I can find more information on it. Thanks

I have the Icom 2100H, and the only mod I know of involves clipping a diode, which opens the transmit from the factory 140-150 Mhz, up to the entire receive spread of the radio (what, like 136-174, something like that).  Anyway, the Icom is strictly FM, and the air band is AM.  So I'm pretty sure there's no way to recieve it with this radio.

Heh, if you find you can, please post it.  I wouldn't mind being able to pick up the air band myself!
