Is there any way I can easily build an adapter that would let me use my cell phone headset with my Kenwood TH-F6A?

I'd obviously have to rig up a PTT, but what about the levels--are they similar enough or would I need to convert them? (And how?)

I see no reason why you could not build an adapter
and a PTT. Can you do it easily ? The fact that
you had to ask about using it in the first place
says that you probably can't do it easily . This is
not intended as an insult, just the facts. If you
had done your homework you would already know the
answer and would probably have completed the project.
After all, this is a learning hobby.
Now I am sure that someone is going to jump on me for
not giving you all the details you need and state
that this forum is here to help others, so why am
I not helping.... like the old saying says " You can
give a man a fish and feed him for one meal, you can
teach him how to fish and feed for a lifetime.
Do you want to ride on the boat or steer the boat,
the decision is yours.

What you need is available off-the-shelf at RadioShack.
