I have a 1964 VW Baja Bug,and i'm looking for a antenna that will be long enufe to clear the top of the car. I Can't put it on top of the bug becouse if i roll it the mount and antenna will go thou the top.
I am going to mount it on the back bumper with the CB antenna.

i hope to get a dual band transceiver soon

Size dose not matter

Most of the commercial amateur antennas long enough to clear the top of the "bug" probably are not strong enough to stand up to the riggers of "Bajaing".

Secondly, even if it did clear the top of the "bug", the pattern still would be distorted.

I suspect your best bet is to use a standard 1/4 wave whip from anyone of at least 10 suppliers. In any case, it would be the most rugged.
