OK, now that I have my long stainless steel whip mounted up high, how do I control this monster? Since gutters are not found on most cars, what do I do to keep this monster under control while in drive-in banks, etc?  Fishing line?

Spectra works well if you get the 100 pound test stuff. The 50 pound is just too small to work with. It does retain some moisture, but dries quickly. You can tie down the other end to what ever suits your installation. To minimize any possibility of arcing, tie the support below the coil.
