I'm looking for info on how to make a boomerang type antenna for mobile VHF/UHF TV reception. Only needs to be functional, looks don't matter.

Although you could fashion the electronics, and you might get close to a wind-reducing physical configuration, the cost would easily exceed the cost of a premanufactured unit avialable from several different suppliers. The last one I saw was from Winegard, and listed for $119.95.
