I need some help.. I have an Icom 706MkIIG with a Lil Tarheel screwdriver antenna.  I want to connect this to the radio using a duplexer but am not sure exactly what I need.  All advise is appreciated.  Thank you.

Duplexor? Do you mean diplexor? You don't need either one with a 706 as it has two outputs; one for HF+6, and the other for VHF/UHF. Using an HF antenna on VHF/UHF is suspect from the outset. You'd be much better off with a decent dual bander NMO mounted on the roof.
