Hi,

Has anyone else encountered their thru-glass dual band antenna whistling at highway speeds?  It is very annoying.  I believe the noise is originating from the coiled part of the antenna.  Just wondering if anyone has come up with a "tidy" solution to the problem?  I was thinking about trying some heat shrink around the coil to see if that would quiet things down.

Any suggestions out there?

Many thanks.

I just folded up the shrink wrap and stuck it down into the coil...whistle gone.  All you're trying to do is to disrupt the airflow around the coil.

I took shrink tubing, put it over the coil and applied heat, did the trick.

I used the heat shrink route also. Have heard of people using the foam ear plugs also.
